I don’t write to adhere to literary convention, to entertain or to evoke. I write so my mind is freed from the burden of having to think the thoughts that I place on paper. I write so I don’t have to remember. I write because, by placing pen to paper I will never be able to forget. I write for catharsis.

Thank goodness then that I am not a writer.
